Bramble Crumble: Before and After

.

What?

You seriously thought I could think of getting my camera out to take a photo while a Bramble Crumble was right in front of me, waiting to be eaten?

If you really want to know what it looks like "Before", you'll have to make your own.

Here's the recipe for Bramble Crumble.

I once ate so much bramble crumble I was physically sick.
Didn't stop me wanting more though...

Gawsh! It looks like someone murdered a crumble and forgot to clean up the blood :D It's a crime scene!

Savannah - all I'll say is you should finish your wine before you eat the crumble, otherwise the wine tastes like vinegar after that amount of sweetness.

FLG - time for a new evening TV series - CSI: Crumble

JC - Absolutely - see my post Seasonal Adjustment, or for that matter, check the September archives for brambling related posts over the past few years. One of the things thatmakes this dessert so precious is we only get to eat it if we've gone out on a successful bramble hunt.

Archie - yup :)

Call me a pig if you like but I would lick that bowl immaculately clean. Trouble is folk than think it's been washed and put it back in the cupboard.

A brumble pie massacre - you must have had the face of a sated vampire on you afterwards.

Pat - I have a slight problem with more getting in my beard than my mouth when it comes to deeper dishes...

Conan - well my daughter looked like she'd been dragged face down along a gravel path with her face covered in bramble juice. I don't quite know how she manages it, but if there were an olympic sport for making the most amount of mess with the smallest amount of food...

Seriously, you are MEAN! If you aren't going to share, maybe you should keep quiet so we don't have to drool throughout the day.

Let me know if/when you're coming over to Scotland Carole - we have some brambles in the freezer and would happily treat you to a crumble :)
